ECDE TEACHER KILLED

A 43 year old early childhood education (ECDE) teacher has been killed by her co-wife at Bung Kwach village, Lambwe West location in Suba North constituency over domestic violence.


The teacher identified as Meresa Akinyi of Sulwe ECDE center was
killed in her home when he was stabbed with a knife by her 30 year old co-wife Christine Adhiambo who works at Sindo Sub-county hospital during physical fighting today.


 The confrontations began between the two ladies because the suspect crossed through
Akinyi’s (deceased) maize farm when she was going to her farm from work.

According to the area chief Daniel Obure, the suspect crossed the farm again on her way back home after shed had been warned before, an issue prompted them to start fighting.

He says that during the fight the suspect (Adhiambo) who armend herself with a kitchen knife stabbed Akinyi on the neck before the 43 year old woman collapsed.


Mr. Obure says that Akinyi died a few minutes later when she was being taken to Ogongo health center for medical attention.
The administrator states that the two ladies have had domestic wrangles as co-wives for some time.


The body was moved to Kirindo mortuary.
