Migori and Isebania residents to benefit from piped water

Migori town and Isebania residents in Kuria west Sub County to benefit from piped water sponsored by the African Development bank through the county government of Migori.
According to Migori County deputy governor Nelson Mahanga Mwita he said that the project which will cost Ksh.277 million is expected to benefit over 11,000 households in both Migori town and Isebania areas in Kuria west Sub County.
While speaking during the launch of the program the deputy governor said that residents of Migori has for long time been facing challenges in finding clean water hence the project will be a reprieve for them calling on those who will benefit from it to make good use of the project for their benefi
His sentiments were also echoed by Kuria west MP Mathias Robi who showed his delightment with the last mile of water connectivity in the area however calling on the government to ensure they fix the electricity problems which has brought pumping of water to various parts of the county.
On their part Migori County minister for Water and energy Sheila Ghati Maroa and her chief officer Edward Kabaka who said that after completing the given areas they intend to ensure areas like Nyatike among others which has faced numerous challenges in finding water are also considered saying already there are numerous projects being undertaken in those hence which must be completed with Kabaka saying that new pipes will be installed to enhance flow of water as required.
