POLICE DEFY COVID-19 CONTAINMENT MEASURES

Five police officers from Nyakach police station and one from Nakuru police station have been arrested in Kisumu for breaking COVID-19 containment measures. This is after they were found taking alcohol after the curfew hours at Blackperl bar in Nyamasaria.
According to the Kisumu County police commissioner Samuel Anampiu, the six officers plus six citizens who were in their company were found drinking alcohol at 8pm, an act that is against the MOH guidelines.
Anampiu confirmed that the 12 are held at Kondele police station pending arraignment in court.
