DRAMA AS CHIEFS ARRESTED FOR ERECTING ILLEGAL ROADBLOCK

There was drama last night in Obwolo area of Kajulu in Kisumu East sub county after a chief and his two assistants were arrested as they allegedly erected an illegal roadblock. 

Reports indicate that a chief and two assistants alongside some youths were stopping those who were passing along the road past curfew hours.

However, it turned dramatic when the chiefs flagged down a private car which belonged to Nyanza Regional police Boss Karanja Muriuki who was passing by the road then in his normal night patrols. 

The chiefs were shocked to learn that it was the Nyanza police boss, making the youths who accompanied the chiefs to scamper for safety in nearby bushes. 
However, the Police Boss reportedly called for reinforcement and the three chiefs were picked up and locked at Kondele police station.

Boda boda riders in Kajulu area especially Gita have been complaining of harassments in road blocks.
