NYABONDO TRAUMA HOSPITAL

The construction of a trauma hospital in Nyabondo that will help in handling different road accidents is 90% complete. The construction of the hospital which is meant to serve six counties including; Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira and Kericho was sponsored by the Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA).
According to Eng. Victor Mamba who is in charge of the construction, since they started the construction in Nyakach Sub-County, they have employed many people from the area. He said that the construction of the road from Migori to Kisii then to Ahero is what brought the idea of having the trauma hospital since good roads also comes with accidents, and the hospital will handle that.
