CONSTRUCTION OF AFRICITIES CONVENTIONAL CENTRE

The CS for Devolution Hon. Eugene Wamalwa has said that they have set aside Ksh. 1.4 billion for the construction of Africities Conventional Centre in Kisumu. Hon. Wamalwa who visited Kisumu County yesterday for the groundbreaking of the Africities Conventional Centre said that preparations for hosting the Africities Conference are going on well.
Kisumu County is set to host the 9th edition of the Africities Conference in April next year, a conference that brings together all the African countries. Wamalwa said that the National Government led by President Uhuru Kenyatta is working hand in hand with Kisumu County Government to ensure that perfect preparations are done before the conference.
Presiding over the groundbreaking of the conventional centre in Mamboleo showgrounds, Wamalwa urged investors to invest more on restaurants which will attract many visitors as he urged other departments to work hand in hand with Kisumu County Government to ensure that the conference is a success.
Kisumu County Governor Prof. Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o on his side said that they will do everything possible to ensure the success of the conference.
