Citizens, human rights organisations and different leaders in Kisumu County have come out to strongly condemn tax increase as they say that life has been hard since Covid-19 knocked into the country in March last year. They also said that working and business hours have been affected by the early curfew that starts at 7pm in the counties in Lake Region Economic Block.

Human rights activists in Kisumu are now saying that the cost of living is going up day by day and the government should find a way of helping her people. They also requested the government to do away with the dusk to dawn curfew and let people just follow the MOH guidelines.

On his side, Alego Usonga MP aspirant Dr. Nicholas Kut Ochogo blamed Members of National Assembly who passed the Finance Act as he said that they are not concerned about the common citizens. He urged the government to find ways of helping the citizens who are now passing through hard times.
