KISUMU COUNTY DISBURSES KSH. 250 MILLION BURSARIES

Ksh. 44,276,774 have been given out by the Kisumu county government through the ministry of education to ensure that needy students in the county gets good education as others.
Presiding over the event, Governor Prof Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o said that Ksh. 250 million has been released since the start of the year so as to help the needy students. He said that in the financial year 2020/2021, about 28,237 children have benefited from the bursary and they will continue helping their constituents in matters of education.
He further urged parents who have difficulties in paying fees for their children to ensure that they apply for the bursaries so as to continue with their education.
