Kodida Primary School in Kwabwai Ward, Ndhiwa Sub-county, Homabay County is in the verge of loosing pupils if the government does not move fast to build classes and other important amenities such as latrines since parents have already started transferring their children from the school to others.
Speaking to journalists, the school headteacher madam Florence Awino Ogalo said that the school which was started by the community in 1994 and currently has a population of 162 children is in a bad state since the Ndhiwa constituency CDF has really neglected the school despite its bad state. She said that most politicians have been using the school as a campaign tool after every five years.
Madam Florence said that untill now, it is parents who are struggling to build classes with little support from Suba-South MP John Mbadi who promised to build one classroom for the school.
