Members of the ODM Homabay County Coordinating Committee held a meeting that brought together several stakeholders in the committee as a way of strengthening the party ahead of next year’s general elections.

Speaking to journalists at a restaurant in Homabay town, the Homabay county ODM chairperson who is also the Women Representative Hon. Gladys Wanga said that they held the meeting so as to strengthen the party in the county as one of the ways of preparing for 2022 polls.

Her words were echoed by Kabondo member of parliament Hon. Eve Obara who urged the county residents to use this time to ensure that they register as members of the ODM party, as she said that the process can be done by any individual through the phone and it is free of charge.

On his side, the Homabay County ODM party secretary who is also Kasipul Member of Parliament Hon. Charles Ong’ondo Were said that Hon. Peres Ogutu has been appointed as the interim Women County Legal Leader taking over from the late Ruth Ojuka.
