Parents whose students are in County and Sub County schools in Bondo have been urged to take responsibility and pay fees for their students to avoid jeopardizing school activities.

According to Bondo Township Secondary  school principal Mr.Benson Okoth, most parents have neglected their duty and hence have stopped paying fees for their children in school.
The Principal observed that  in recent years, they would get over ksh.100,000 deposited on opening dates as opposed to this  year where they have only gotten ksh 26,000 deposited in the school account as school fees and its like most parents are waiting for their students to be sent home for fees which is a very dangerous attitude and is harming the school’s programs.

He added that they are experiencing a backlog of arrears running from last year and thus they have not been able to pay suppliers hindering  most school activities and even urged them to instead pay in kind for if they cannot afford to get the cash.

The school head has therefore appealed to parents to take responsibility and change the ‘I don’t care’ attitude and provide an ample environment for their students to study for that will help improve their performance.
