Different school heads in Migori County have been told to ensure that they keep the rules that were stipulated by the government through the ministry of health in guiding the use of vehicles. This is to help curb the spread of covid-19 among students.

This is a request that has been put across by the Rongo Sub-county police commander Peter Okiring’ who said that they have realized that there are several school buses that are now flouting the MOH covid-19 containment measures. He said that there are school drivers who are ferrying students to and from school carrying the bus full capacity, in turn disobeying MOH rules.

Okiring’ said that the students being ferried come from different families and if not handled with alot of care, they might contract covid-19 very fast. he also said that the buses should be fumigated after carrying the students.
