A Class Seven Pupil Dies as One Person Gets Injured in a Road Accident

A standard seven pupil died and one person seriously injured after they were involved in an accident along Kalandin-Asembo bay road in Rarieda sub-county this afternoon.

Emmanuel Otieno Sati who is a pupil at Raliew primary school died on the spot after a motorcycle that he was riding collided head on with another one that was coming from the opposite direction on the same road.

According to East Asembo location chief Mr. Fred Odhiambo Omino, the deceased had transported his friend to Memba primary school and was now rushing back to his school in Raliew when he met his untimely death.

He told Radio sky that Emmanuel’s body has since been moved to St. Elizabeth Lwak Mission hospital mortuary while the other person who sustained injuries, Collins Otieno, is undergoing treatment at the same hospital.

Mr. Omino who confirmed the incident took the opportunity to caution parents against allowing their underage children to be riding motorcycles because they lack training and they are causing a lot of accident.
