Over 40 students from needy families in Homabay County whose dream of joining form one was almost dying due to lack of school fees can now smile after a well wisher came to their rescue.

Those students who come from eight sub-counties in Homabay County including Rachuonyo North, Rachuonyo East, Rachuonyo South, Rangwe, Homabay town, Ndhiwa, Suba and Mbita are some of the students who sat for their KCPE exams in March and could not afford to join secondary school.

Lui Otieno Ogingo has come out to ensure that these students report to the respective schools that they were called to. Lui says that this is a move to ensure that the community gets educated just like him.

Speaking while issuing bursaries at Ratang’a Secondary School in Ndhiwa sub-county, Lui said that so many students are still at home due to lack of fees and he therefore urged those who are able to come out and help.
