A Teacher Found Dead

Police in Homabay County are investigating the death of a 40 year old primary school teacher who was found dead in his house in Kombogo Kokoth area in Kachwanya sub-location, North Kabuoch location, Ndhiwa sub-county on Sunday evening.

James Odhiambo Okoth’s body who was teaching at Mariri Primary School was found lying lifeless on his bed by his brother who was worried of where the teacher had gone to.

According to reports established by Sky fm, the teacher who has been staying alone for several months after separating with the wife, left his mother’s house on Saturday night after taking supper and he was not seen again when it dawned on Sunday.

According to Kachwanya sub-location assistant chief Nancy Atieno, it is the teacher’s brother who discovered his death after going to his house to find what was happening since the door was closed half-way. He pushed the door and when he got in, he found his brother was no more.

Nancy says that the course of James’ death has not yet been established since there are no even signs of injuries on his body. The teacher’s body has been transferred to Manyatta Kobodo hospital mortuary awaiting post-morterm.
