A Man Kills his Son Over Ksh. 500

A man identified as Wilson Yegon in Kiprengwe village, Kipkelion East Constituency killed his 34 year old son using a machete on Sunday afternoon. A neighbour alerted the police who rushed to the scene and found the late identified as Dennis Rotich lying next to his father’s house.
“The boy died immediately after we reached Kericho County Hospital where he was taken to get treatment,” Kericho County Police Commander said.
The deceased’s father was arrested along Nakuru-Kericho highway by DCI officers after he fled the scene and he is being held at Londiani Police station awaiting arraignment before Molo Law Court.
The suspect’s wife has described her husband as a violent man who always threatened to kill someone. The deceased body was transferred to Kericho County mortuary.
