Homabay County Civil Servants Will Have to Wait More for Their Salaries

Those working for the County Government of Homabay will have to wait even more for their July salaries to be paid. The civil servants in different sectors such as CECs, Chiefs of Staffs, Directors, Health workers among others will have to find other means of survival as they wait for their salaries.
According to a memo directed to the civil servants, they will have to wait until 20th of this month for them to be paid. The memo that was written by Chief Officers from the county’s ministry of finance and service delivery Hon. Noah Otieno dated 17th August 2021, the delay has been brought by the delays from the National Treasury, as he urged the National Treasury to be releasing the funds early enough so that they can also pay workers on time.
In his statement, he said that they are hoping to finish the process of forwarding the names of the workers so that they get how to pay them come 20th this month. On their side, workers unions such as KMPDU, KNUT, KNUN, KNUCO, KNULO Homabay branches have promised to call a press statement if their members are not paid by the stated date.
