Man Jailed for 30 Years for Defiling a Minor

Oyugis Law Courts have jailed a man for 30 years after being arraigned in court for defiling an eight year old girl, something that is against the laws of Kenya. The man identified as Ali Saidi Daudi was found guilty for the crime by the court.

Daudi appeared before magistrate Benard Omwansa, where he was arraigned for two crimes, first being that he had bad plans for the child who hails from Maguti village in Rachuonyo North sub-county between August and September 2019. The second one being defiling the girl which goes against the Sexual Offences Act 2006.

Inside reports state that Daudi touched the girls body in a wrong way between August and September 2019. Daudi however denied the charges despite several witnesses being in court, hospital reports and even police report.

The evidence provided convinced the magistrate to sentence the man to 30 years in prison, as he now has 14 days to appeal the verdict.
