Nurses working in government health facilities in Homabay County that they will boycott work come 8th this month if the county does not pay them their July and August salaries among other things that they agreed upon with the County government.

Led by their county secretary Omondi Nyonje, they told the County government to be fast in implementing their agreement starting by paying them their July and August salaries, and also ensuring that those who were paid half salaries in June to also be paid fully before 8th or else they will have to put down their tools.

Speaking to Sky FM at Homabay County Referral Hospital, Nyonje told the county government to be listening to the pleas of its workers since most of them are going through a hard time now and they should be paid their salaries.
