Residents Want the County to Help Them Get Clean Water

Silanga residents in East Kanyamkago, Uriri sub-County wants the County government of Migori through the ministry of water to help them get clean water from Silanga dam in the area.

Led by their chairman Dave Juma, they urged the Ministry of Water in Migori County to help them draw water from Silanga dam which they say have alot of water yet they are suffering as residents to get clean water.

Dave said that they have been fetching water from Oyani stream which is very far from them, and they now demand that they be assisted get water from the dam which has been full of water for years now and therefore it must spread water to residents of Silanga and Suna East sub-county.

They said that the dam was built some time back and has been lying dormants, as they said that if the dam is well organised for them, can save them the stress of searching for clean water.
