A Woman Lynched for Chicken Theft

The body of a woman estimated to be between the age of 30-35 is lying at the Bondo Sub-county hospital mortuary after angry locals descended on her with beatings before setting her on fire in Onyatta B area in Bondo sub-county.

According to the area chief Edwin Olima, the woman identified as Eunice Akoth is said to have been in a gang of chicken thieves, with whom they broke down the wall of the house from which they stole from at the store area at stole 21 hens. However, the late Eunice refused to name members of her gang after being caught with one of the hens that were stolen.

Olima said that it is not good the increasing cases of theft as he however warned those who take the law in their own hands that they will face the wrath of the law.
