Female Bar Attendant Found Dead

A 21 year old woman who was working at a bar was found dead in Sienge beach, Kamsenge East sub-location, Rusinga ward, Mbita sub-county Monday morning.

Nancy Awino’s body was found lying at the beach by fishermen who had come back from their daily fishing escapades in Lake Victoria.

According to Sienga Beach Management Unit chairperson Joshua Miruka, the woman had came from the bar at around 9pm headed to the beach, a moment that she screamed and disappeared into the dark.

He went ahead to say that the efforts to find the woman at the moment she disappeared into the dark did not bear any fruits and when it dawned, her body was found at the beach.

Confirming the incident, Mbita sub-county police commander Stenley Atvachi said that the woman was found with blood oozing from her nose and her cloths half dressed. Otherwise, there were no injuries on her body as he said that they have already started investigations into the death of the woman. The woman’s body was transferred to Kirindo hospital mortuary.
