Water Shortage

Residents and traders in Lida market, Kakelo Kokwanyo ward in Kabondo Kasipul constituency are pleading with Homabay County governor Cyprian Awiti to rescue them from acute water shortage that they are experiencing in the area.

Led by Hellen Anyango and Jackline Auma, the residents have said that they have been experiencing water shortage in the area for a very long time, something that is now forcing them to scramble for water with students at Mawego technical institute.

They added that they are forced to wake up early in the night and walk for long distances before they can get clean water for drinking and use in their houses.
