“Employ Teachers”, TSC Told

The Teachers Service Commission TSC has been urged to employ teachers who graduated several years ago, before they start telling teachers to further their studies since there is no way they can facilitate that training when they aren’t employed.

This is a request that was put across by Homabay County teachers during the World Teachers Day that was celebrated on Tuesday 5th October. Homabay County KUPPET chairperson Mr. Jack Odhiambo Okoth applauded teachers for the good job they are doing in the education sector, as he maintained that teachers should be treated with respect.

Mr. Edwin Odhiambo who is also a teacher in the county said that the government should direct TSC to employ teachers who have spent alot of time outside since they graduated so that they can find how to facilitate their further studies that the TSC is recommending.
