Body of Two Year Old Boy Found Floating On a Dam

Police in Rachuonyo East Sub-county are investigating the death of a two year old boy whose body was found floating on a dam in Upper Kanyadawa village, Kowidi sub-location in Kabondo Kasipul constituency.

Confirming the incident to Sky FM, Kowidi sub-location assistant chief Michael Aoro said that he was given the report at around 11am by the village elder, that a body of a boy identified as Gregory otieno aged two years was found floating on a dam next to Kadongo-Oyugis road.

Chief Michael said that during the incident, the boy’s mother who has been selling potatoes at Kadongo Kachial market together with the father were not around. He went ahead to say that it is not right for parents to just leave their children all alone since this accident happened when the parents were not around, as reports indicate that the mother had gone to Miruka market.

He finished by saying that the boy’s body was taken by Othoro police officers and taken to Okita hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
