Boost Your Skills on Parental Guidance

Parents and guardians from Migori county have been called upon to boost their skills on parental guidance and obligations to keep their children on the right track.

This is according to Mrs.Agnes Ochilo the wife to Migori county senator Ochilo Mbogo Ayako who noted that it’s a pity to see most learners lured into immoral behaviors while still young, a matter she said should be discouraged by all means.

While speaking to Sky Fm over the matter,Mrs. Ochilo challenged the parents to come up with new measures to ensure they keep track of their children while in or out of school or at home and also to be able to monitor the type of friends their children are relating with.

She also took the opportunity to applaud the Mama Ida Odinga foundation on its effort to ensure girls are kept in school through distribution of sanitary pads and peer counseling and also for giving her the chance to play a role on the same. She encouraged learners who are young mother’s to ensure they go back to school to be able to achieve their dreams urging leaders to also chip in and support the parents in ensuring that no child is disadvantaged to accomplish their dreams through education.

She challenged leaders to rethink on finding means of ensuring students who are currently in boarding schools and are eligible to acquire the ID are given the chance to register as voters through in a bid to ensure no one who has a right to vote is left out saying that is the only way they will be able to elect visionary leader who is ready to transform them economically.
