Kenya county workers union Migori branch has called on the county government of Migori to come out and have all the casual workers employed permanently as directed by the court and the county assembly of Migori.

Led by their secretary general Sylvance Araja, the workers have showed their disappointment with the county government of Migori through the public service board for ignoring such directives, a matter they said they will not sit back and watch.

While speaking to the press in Migori, Araja accused the board of biasness during the just conluded employment exercise, calling on them to revisit and ensure all the casual workers who are eligible to get employment are employed as required.

He applauded the county assembly of Migori through the North Kanyamkago ward MCA George Omamba for coming up with a motion to disband the board which they accused of biasness in their recruitment exercise, saying that it is the only way the workers will get justice and sanity brought to the board and the county government at large.

He at the same time took the opportunity to urge the county government of Migori to have the casual workers paid their four months arrears saying that most of them have undergone numerous challenges in fending for their families which should not be the case during such a time that the country’s economy is down.

However while speaking to Sky Fm over the matter, the director of communication in the office of the governor Nicholas Anyuor, said that the county government of Migori has received such complaints and they are working on the modalities to have the matter solved once and for all.
