Fake KDF Officers

Police in Homabay County have arrested two individuals who have been parading as Kenya Army Officers. The two individuals have been conning people lots of money with fake promises of helping them get KDF jobs.
The two suspects identified as Gabriel Omwono and Peres Otieno were arrested by Mbita sub-county police officers with the offence of taking money from people in Homabay county with promises of helping their children get jobs with the KDF.
It can be remembered that five days ago, the Ministry of Interior announced that they will start recruiting individuals for KDF jobs in the month of November. Mbita sub-county police commander Alfred Ngeno confirmed that were arrested on Saturday night, at a time when they had left Homabay town heading to Mbita to meet their customers whom they had planned to con.
Ng’eno said that the suspects have conned several people in Migori and Homabay counties with those fake promises of providing KDF jobs. he said that the two are being held at Mbita police station as the police continue with investigation before being arraigned in court.
