Health Workers Decry Lack of Salaries

A huge number of health workers in Kisumu County who were working under the ‘FACES PROJECT’ have cried out on not being paid for the last three months. This has forced them to threaten to conduct a strike if the county government does not take up the issue.

Speaking to Sky FM via phone, the health workers requested governor Prof. Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o to take up this issue as fast as possible since they are really going through hell.

One of the nurses spoke with a lot of sorrow in her heart as she narrated how her landlord has locked her house and she is currently staying with her mother and she can’t even afford transport to work.

Lastly, another nurse said that the delay in salaries is not a current issue and it is so saddening that nobody is coming out to help them.
