‘Stop Using Our Youths’, Politicians Told

Nyalenda B elders in Kisumu Central constituency have come out to condemn some of the politicians for using youths to erupt chaos ahead of the 2022 general elections.

Led by Elder Oginga Oketch who is the ‘Kisumu Natives’ chairperson, they gave examples of different leaders who have brought chaos and division between netizens as he said that they want such acts to end with immediate effect.

Oginga went ahead to say that the laws of the land gives every person the freedom of speech and expression and if such chaos start erupting in Luo Nyanza, it will negatively affect the ODM leader Raila Odinga’s journey to the statehouse next year.

His sentiments were echoed by the deputy leader of Kasagam clan as he gave an example of the 2007/2008 post election violence as he urged the ODM party to give citizens a chance to elect leaders of their choice without forcing leaders on them.
