An Eight Year Old Child Dies in a Road Accident

An atmosphere of pain has filled a family in Sofia, Homabay county after an eight year old child lost his life along the Homabay-Rongo road. The child identified as Ben Ngala who is a grade four pupil at Full Gospel Brilliant School was hit by a truck at a time he was walking home from school.

According to Homabay town sub-county police commander Sammy Koskei, the truck developed issues, then reversed and killed the boy who was walking by the roadside. Koskei said that the boy died on the spot after being seriously injured.

He went ahead to confirm that other pupils who were with Ben were not injured in the accident. The boy’s body was transferred to Homabay County Referral Hospital Mortuary awaiting post mortem, as investigations into his death continues.
