Fire Razes Down a Dormitory in Maranda High School

Police in Bondo sub-county are investigating the cause of the fire that razed down a dormitory at Maranda High School in Bondo sub-county, Siaya County. The fire is said to have broke out at around 10pm when students were still in class for their night preps.

There were no casualties reported during the incident that left the dormitory that houses more than 500 students fully razed down with no property rescued. Bondo sub-county police commander Roseline Chebosho confirmed the incident saying that the cause of the fire has not yet been identified and the police are still investigating, as DCI officers have also arrived at the school to try determine what may have caused the fire.
