Clergy on School Fires

Nyanza clergies have come out to address the burning of school infrastructure. They have urged parents and police officers to work hand in hand to find solution to the burning of schools that have become rampant and is causing unrest in the country.
The Homabay County Islam Community Secretary, Nuh Abdul Omollo Masoud requested parents, teachers and the community at large to come together and educate their children while they are on holiday so as to help reduce immoral behaviors among the students.
His sentiments were echoed by Bishop Simon Otieno Okwama of Legion Maria African Church who told the parents to emphasize on this issue and work towards shunning such behavior because it will hit their children so hard in the near future following the fact that their records of misconduct will be lying before court hence getting employment will be hard.
