‘We Need Compensation’, Kisumu Residents to Railways Cooperation

Kisumu residents whose residence were demolished in Bandani area, Otonglo and Maseno wants the Kenya railways to pay them. This is after the lands court in Kisumu County through justice Ombwayo ruled that the Kenya railways demolished the residences against the law.

According to Lawyer Kenneth Amondi who filed the case, Justice Ombwayo found the railways cooperation guilty of unlawful demolitions. He said that all people whose residences were demolished should present their title deeds before the court so that they can be compensated by the cooperation.
