MEN TO MEN ON 16 DAYS GENDER ACTIVISM

As Kenya marks 16 days gender activism, African Women Development and Communication Network also known as FEMNATE have organized a conference in Homabay town. The conference will bring together delegates from Kenya and other countries to discuss on how to protect the rights of women and girls.
Speaking to delegates from 14 countries attending the conference dubbed ‘Men to Men’, FEMNATE officer Awat Awat said that the conference aims at educating men on how to put an end to gender based violence.
At the same time, Vice Secretary General of the Njuri Ncheke in Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties Mugambi Mutunga said that gender based violence has been on the rise during the covid-19 pandemic.
Malawi police boss Well Munthali said that gender based violence is backwardness and should be stopped, as he said that the incidences have also been witnessed in Malawi.
