A 42 Year Old Man Arrested for Defiling a 7 Year Old Girl

Police in Rachuonyo East sub-county have arrested a 42 year old man who is accused of defiling a seven year old girl in Kakelo-Kamroth sub-location.

According to the girl’s mother Everline Akoth, the girl is still in grade one and she went to fetch firewood in a bush next to their home together with her fellows before she was defiled by the man man who is also their neighbour.

She went ahead to explain that she realized the girl’s walking style had changed and her cloths were also not in the right posture, before another neighbour arrived and told her what had happened. She also explained that the suspect went to her trying to discuss the issue privately, something that she refused.

The girl was taken to Nanga Health Centre before she was transferred to Rachuonyo East sub-county in Oyugis.

According to the hospital report, the girl was defiled. Surprisingly, after the girl being treated, her family together with the criminal had a closed door discussion to end the issue, an act that dissapointed the villagers who were forced to call the police.

Confirming the incident, the area assistant chief tom Ondiro said that the girl confirmed that that was the third time the man was doing that to her. The man has been held at Oriwo police station waiting arraignment in court.
