A FORM 3 STUDENT IN NDHIWA SUB-COUNTY DIED WHILE PLAYING FOOTBALL

A form three male student from Obera Boys High School in Central Kabuoch Location, Ndhiwa sub-county lost his life while playing football on Sunday evening.

It was confirmed that the boy fell down while playing football with his fellows just after hitting the ball with his head, and he was rushed to Samari Medical Centre in Rodi Kopany where he lost his life immediately after arriving at the hospital.

Confirming the incident, Central Kabuoch Location chief Kapis Olala said that the boy fell down after hitting the ball with his head. he said that this prompted the principal to rush the boy to hospital where he later died.

The incident prompted students in the school to conduct demonstrations in the school on Sunday night an act that forced police officers from Magina police station to calm them down. This was after the students destroyed window panes using stones.

Ndhiwa sub-county Education Director Daniel Anekeya said that they have launched investigations together with the security details in the area to find out what might have caused the boy’s death. The boys body was transferred to Kirindo Nursing home awaiting postmortem.
