A 37 year old truck driver working for Ndhiwa Sukari Industry in Ndhiwa sub-county was arrested by police officers for causing the death of a 22 year old passenger, while he was transporting sugarcane to the industry.

The driver is linked to the death of the late Bill Clinton Ouma that occured at Nguku centre along Kowuonda-Riat road where the late Bill slid and fell down from the same truck which he was on board.

It was revealed that the late had requested the driver to drop him at South Kanyikela location from Kowuonda. When they got to Nguku centre, he slid and fell down, and he was ran over by the truck.

According to Ndhiwa sub-county police commander Paul Rioba, the late sustained serious injuries in his body, something that led to his death moments after the accident even before being taken to the hospital.

He confirmed that the truck driver is currently being held at Ndhiwa police station awaiting arraignment in court, as the body of the late Bill was transferred to Manyatta Kobodo funeral home.
