SPORTS MEN AND WOMEN URGED TO DIVERSIFY IN A BID TO ENHANCE THEIR LIVELIHOOD.

Youths and other sports men and women from Rongo sub county and Migori county at large have been called upon to diversify saying that is the only way they can enhance their livelihood.
This is according aspiring Rongo Mp John Zatta who said that most youths especially those talented in various sporting activities especially in football have always ended up living in poor condition calling on them to diversify and embrace other income generating activities as they also enhance their talent never to regret later in life as have been seen taking place among the sports men and women in Kenya especially those coming from the local areas.

Zatta who is an aspiring Rongo Mp on a UDA ticket was speaking after awarding various clubs who participated in the just concluded Zatta appreciation tournament held last weekend in the new year Eve at Kitere polytechnic grounds in South Kamagambo ward, Rongo sub county where he at the same time challenged various leaders from the area to embrace and support grassroot sporting activities in a bid to ensure their talents grow as well as show them ways of enhancing their livelihood.

During the tournament Ng’ou fc beat Rongo youth 1-0 to clinch the coverted trophy as Rakwaro fc also beat Milambo FC in the play offs of the tourney with Kanga FC who were also the curtain raisers of the tourney beating Kitere fc 1-0.Ngou FC who were the winners of the tourney pocketed Ksh.100,000,first runners up went home with Ksh.50,000 and the second runners up going home with Ksh.25,000 and the fourth team pocketing Ksh.10,000.All the 56 teams that participated in the tourney from Rongo sub county went home with a ball and a sets of uniforms.
