Three Family Members Perished In a Road Accident In Homabay

Three people from the same family lost their lives in a road accident that happened at Rhodi Kopany market in Homabay county this morning.

The three that included a father, mother and their six year old child met their death after a cane truck fell on them, killing them instantly.

The man identified as Victor Onjwayo who hails from West Kanyada location, his wife Caroline Akoth and their child were on a motorbike before the cane truck that was transporting sugarcane to Ndhiwa Sukari Industry fell on them, killing them instantly.

The late Onjwayo was taking his family home from Rhodi market when they met their untimely death. According to Kalanya Kanyango sub-location assistant chief Fredrick Onyango, the truck fell as a result of the heavy load it was carrying.

The bodies of the three people were transferred to Homabay County Referral Hospital awaiting postmortem.
