Kano Elders Unhappy Over Kisumu Gubernatorial Race Unraveling

The council of elders in charge of the 13 Kano clans under the RIDOKAM umbrella have embraced the decision by the 4 Kisumu county politicians that they took to sit down and endorse one of them to vie for the gubernatorial seat.
RIDOKAM chairman Austine Odiko said that even ODM leader Raila Odinga urged leaders who can come to a compromise to do so and front one of them and therefore if the former CAS in the ministry of East Africa Ken Obura was endorsed by his fellow politicians, then it should not be a big issue.
He went ahead to say that as the people of Kano, they have a right to show their stand concerning elections and he therefore condemned those saying that Kano people just love themselves and are forcing that one of them must be the governor come August.
He finished by urging all Kisumu residents not to be divided by politics as he also urged politicians to do peaceful campaigns as he added that as Kano people, they have not denied anybody the chance of vieying for any seat in Kisumu County.
