Insecurity issues forced Homabay County Assembly to be adjourned indefinitely after a group of people who surrounded the assembly with heckles. The group is believed to have been hired following a stalemate that have been in the assembly between the county assembly speaker Elizabeth Ayoo and the clerk Faith Apuko.
The fracas saw the clerk advice the assembly staff to stay home untill the stalemate is solved. In a letter that was written to all the staff of the assembly, Apuko said that the security of the assembly is at stake and everyone should stay home till a report is given calling them back to work.
The fracas came about after some MCAs turned up at the assembly accompanied by youths, with whom the intended to help them in their quest to oust Faith Apuko as the county clerk.
The clerk was also forced to write to the County commissioner Moses Lilan and the police commander Samson Ole Kine requesting them to investigate the incident.
