Bodaboda operators in Rongo sub-county, Migori county have been urged not to be used in erupting chaos in political rallies during this campaign period.
This is a request that was put across by Rongo sub-county bodaboda chairperson Steve Odero who warned all the operators to be keen with politicians who have the intentions of using them.
Steve was speaking during a forum that brought together all the bodaboda operators in Rongo sub-county and the police, where they both agreed to uphold peace and refuse to succumb to the pressure of politicians who want to use them wrongly.
His sentiments were echoed by his vice chairperson James Onyango who said that the operators must follow the laid down rules to the latter and refrain from erupting chaos as has been witnessed in the future.
The forum which was led by the Rongo OCS Julias Lingolee saw the operators agree to maintain peace as they were advised not to attend rallies organized by politicians whom they don’t support. The OCS said that they are working closely with the operators to ensure that there is peace this campaign period.
