Written by Evance Adede on February 14, 2023
The Facebook page that bears former Vice President Steven Kalonzo Musyoka’s name is an IMPOSTER.
A Facebook page, which currently has over 30,000 followers, has been sharing posts claiming to be from the former Vice President Steven Kalonzo Musyoka.
The page, which bears the name Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka, claimed in a post dated 18th January 2023 that Musyoka would call the first 200 people to book an appointment.
On a different post dated 16th January 2023, the author of the Facebook page even went to an extent of giving an opinion in Luo dialect on some utterances that were made by the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The Facebook page we are fact-checking reposted the digital card with the kenyans.co.ke logo and wrote, ‘’Awuoro Siasa’’ which translates to ‘’I am surprised with politics’’.

However, does the Facebook page we are fact-checking belong to Kalonzo Musyoka? We checked. We conducted a keyword search on Facebook and found out that the page is an imposter page.
The result of the search gave us numerous pages bearing the name of Hon Kalonzo Musyoka and it was hard determining the reliable page as none of them is verified.

We, however, identified his real page that currently has over 360,000 followers. His real page bears the name Kalonzo Musyoka and documents Musyoka’s daily engagements and his opinions.
The page also gives the same email address (kalonzomusyoka.co.ke) that has been included on his official and verified twitter handle and has shared a link to this Facebook page on two occasions using the verified Twitter account.

We would, therefore, wish to confirm that the above page is an imposter page created to mislead the public since most of the posts in the page are a little unreasonable and not expected from the former vice president.
