FALSE: The new Managing Director Kenya Ports Authority Captain William Ruto is not President William Ruto’s brother.

A post claiming that Kenya Ports Authority boss Captain William Ruto is president William Ruto’s brother is false and misleading.

A Facebook user made a post on his timeline claiming that the newly appointed managing director Kenya Ports Authority Captain William Kipkemboi Ruto is President William Ruto’s brother.

The post which entailed a photo of captain Ruto went ahead to read as follows:

‘’So the President appointed his brother Captain William Ruto as the new MD KPA!’’

However, the claim turns out to be false out of the scrutiny we did. We dug deeper into the biography   details of the captain and found it a little bit weird that there were absolutely no siblings details shared and no full biography as well

This is due to the nature of the position the claimed brother President William Ruto   holds which would make it so hard for the public not to recognize it if in any case they were related.

In the scanty biography we saw about the Captain, he was born in Eldoret, Rift Valley Province in Kenya in the year 1966 with no reflections to any Sibling.

This did not give clarity on the relationship the two leaders hold taking us back to President William Ruto’s biography  which reveals it all.

President William Ruto was born in Sambut Village, Kamagut in Uasin Gishu county to Daniel Cheruiyot as the father and Sarah Cheruiyot as the mother.

The information about his siblings came to the limelight when he got into the Deputy President’s seat when an article   came out about one of his brothers living in a poor state despite him being successful.

The article revealed that Ruto technically have three living siblings and one lost his life some years back due to Kidney failure.

‘’Ruto was born in 1966 at Sambut village, Uasin Gishu County to Daniel and Sarah Cheruiyo. He has three Brothers namely Paul Martim, Harrison Ruto and Samuel Ruto.His younger brother Harrison Kiptoo died from kidney failure at Nairobi Hospital 4 years back.’’

This confirms that Captain William Kipkemboi Ruto is not President William Ruto’s brother and there is absolutely no tangible information linking them.
