Fake News: Former US President Barack Obama Was Not Born in Kenya

Claims that former United States of America President Barack Obama was born in Kenya are false.
“Malik Obama is dropping docs proving Barack Obama was born in Nairobi, Kenya and was thus a FAKE and ILLEGITIMATE President,” a twitter user stated.
The allegations emerged after Obama’s half-brother Malik Obama posted photos of a British old passport with the name Barack Obama.
The allegations that the passport belonged to Barack Obama were built on a conspiracy theory that was promoted for years by former US President Donald Trump.
An assessment by Sky 106.1 FM established that Malik posted a passport belonging to his father Barack Obama Senior and not the former US President. The confusion came as both the father and the son shared the same name.
The passport, which was issued in Nairobi, features a photo of Barack Obama Snr. next to the word “Bearer.” Furthermore, the passport was issued on April 29, 1959, two years before the former president’s birth on August 4, 1961.
In another post on April 12, Malik post the passport photo page and the photo showed Obama Snr.
Sky 106.1 FM also found out that the former US Head of State was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. His parents divorced when he was at the age of two and was raised by his mother Stabley Ann Dulham and his maternal grandparents.
