Ex-Royal Media Services Journalist Elected As Migori Assembly Workers’ Welfare Vice Chair

Former media practitioner Nancy Kijana has been elected as the vice chairperson of the Migori County Assembly Workers Welfare Association (MICAWWA).

In a vote exercise held on August 12, Nancy garnered 50 votes against Daniel Rioba’s12 votes.

The Migori County assembly also voted for Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, and two members; male and female positions.

Maurice Odundo emerged victorious in the chairperson position with 44 votes against Mohamed Ali’s 22 votes.

Jane Maroa won the Secretary role with 50 votes beating Mary Gati who secured 14 votes. In the Treasurer race, Richard Ambila emerged as the winner with 48 votes against Treza Nyamohanga who got 15 votes.

Stephen Waikena was elected as the male member while Beyrl Oketch was elected as a female representative.
