Kisii Girl Who Attained University Entry Turns To Herding Due To Lack Of School Fees

 Roseline Moraa has turned into herding due to financial challenges and might miss out on joining university in the September intake.  

Moraa who did her KCSE in 2023 scored a C+ and qualified for a spot at Laikipia University to pursue a bachelor of education.

Speaking during an interview with a local channel, Moraa said she doesn’t have the financial capacity to pay for her school fees in the institution.

“I was called to Laikipia Univeristy to pursue a bachelor of education arts. However, I do not have the financial capacity to pay for my fees, among other needs. My grandmother, who has been taking care of me, is ill and admitted to hospital,” she revealed.

Moraa also she is an orphan and her grandmother has raised her for almost her entire life and faced challenges going to school.

“My parents died when I was still young. I have never known the feeling of being raised by parents, let alone being raised by a single parent. Growing up, my life has been full of struggles because of a lack of a stable support system,” she disclosed.

Moraa appealed to well-wishers to intervene and help her to join university to further her studies.
