Hoax : A Facebook page with a post advertising 9400 jobs at Coca-Cola Company is fake

The Facebook page that carries a post advertising 9400  casual job vacancies is not owned or managed by the  Coca-Cola Company.

Information on the post states that the company is conducting recruitment for casual workers as part of its expansion plan, a strategy to prepare for the high demand season which commences in November and ends in January.

The advert says that there are more than 9400 vacancies and various positions will be filled across the 47 counties in the country.

 

 

According to the advert posted on November 27, at least 200 workers will be recruited per county with a salary offer of ksh.850 per day.

To qualify, applicants must be 18 years old and above, conversant with English and Kiswahili and possess STD 8 or form 4 academic certificates.

 

 

However, applicants are being asked to apply by on-line by booking for slots through sending in-box messages on Facebook messenger of the imposter account.

The advert says interview dates will only be communicated to applicants who booked for the job.The Coca-Cola Beverage Company has distanced itself from the advertisement stating they advertise only job opportunities through their official accounts. 

Facebook page transparency information shows the impostor page shows was created on July 3, 2020 .

 

Page Transparency information for the  legitimate page of the Coca-Cola Beverage Africa-Kenya was created on November 13, 2016.

 

 

The Coca-Cola Company has cautioned its customers to beware of such scammers.
