Health department has been requested to work hand in hand with communication department to help in the vaccination against Covid-19. The Nyanza region KMPDU chair Dr. Onyango Ndong’a says that the government should be able to tell the public where the vaccination doses can be found on a daily basis, how many doses are available and how they can get vaccinated and also the time frame.

Speaking to Sky fm this morning, Dr. Ndong’a urges the government to use county commissioners and chiefs to help in sensitisation about vaccination since they are the only people who know their subjects in person. He adds that if it’s possible, there is need to have house to house vaccination to make sure that each and every person is vaccinated.

Ndong’a suggests that the government should employ more people in the health sector and allocate more funds to the health sector. He also further suggests that people’s contacts should be taken during first dose, tell them when they should avail themselves for the second dose, then send them a text message probably a day to when they are supposed to take their second dose, telling them where and at what time to avail themselves for the dose.
